This was a collaboration between Ireland based destination wedding Photographers, Myself, and Nina Val www.ninaval.com. Check out Nina’s blog for her own shots from the shoot. Below are some of my own favourites from this Moroccan adventure.
Back to North Africa and the vibrancy of Marrakesh, Morocco. The hustle and bustle of this city is nearly like nothing else. From time spent photographing at Jemaa el-Fnaa, a square which dates all the way back to the official founding of Marrakesh by the Almoravids all the way back in 1062. Shooting at the exquisite Jardin Majorelle Yves St. Lauren Gardens, previously owned by the French fashion designer, and which is a 2.5 acre botanic paradise created by Oriental artist Jacques Majorelle all the way back in 1923, which also homes a captivating Cubist villa- designed in the 1930s by French architect Paul Sinoir. Or, mint tea drinking in a very well hidden Riad- this bridal portrait session was full of vibrancy.
As per custom we had some time for some further solo portraits of Maraium. She looked breathtaking wearing a @jilldeburka creation. The spectacular dress and cape combo showcased the Irish designer’s attention to detail within her feminine bridal wear silhouettes and her immaculate embrodiery. The statuesque dress was topped off with a classically feminine collared cape, made complete with a embroidered floral pattern and the word ‘Love’ on the back.
We thank Maraium and Reda and team for all. It was a great pleasure to photograph the pair in locations that meant so much and are so alive with history.
