Megan & Jake had a remarkably stunning wedding on the grounds of one of Ireland’s very special wedding venues, Killruddery House and Gardens.
With the sun constantly trying to break through on this spring day in May, Megan and Jake chose their Killruddery House wedding location for its old world charm unlike anywhere else.
The journey of this lovely American couple began when fate threw them together as neighbours. Their families both had vacation houses on a lake and, one day, Megan found herself in a sinking ship outside of their homes. Luckily, Jake was there to save the day and Megan quickly fell in love with her hero.
On their third anniversary, Megan and Jake had a lovely dinner in Atlanta followed by a sunset helicopter tour of the city. As soon as they got their feet back on the ground, Jake got down on one knee and proposed. Megan said yes and a confident Jake promptly drove them to a surprise engagement party already in progress with all their friends and family.
A Spring killruddery House wedding
Ireland’s most impressive Elizabethan-Revival mansion, Killruddery House began as a home to the Earls of Meath back in 1618 and has since become one of Ireland’s most sought after wedding venues. Located just 30 kilometres outside of Dublin, Killruddery House is a dream wedding destination. Nestled in the hills of the picturesque coastal town of Bray in County Wicklow, Megan and Jake fell in love at first sight with Killruddery House and its stunning grounds.
With the perfect backdrop, and cool moody skies, Megan and Jake posed for their wedding photos in the lush 17th century gardens and a 19th century barn conversion known as the Killruddery Grain Store. With a chic and modern slate grey décor, this stylish couple had every detail in place for a picture perfect wedding.
After tying the knot in the estate’s picturesque Orangery, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis held their candlelit wedding reception in the Grain Store for their Killruddery House wedding. The next day we met up again for post wedding shots at the amazing Cliffs of Moher for a lovely Cherish the dress session.
Thanks to Megan & Jake for sharing their special day with us. What a day it was! Congratulations again!
