What a cool wedding and what a cool couple. Amy and Barry held their fantastic ceremony in Dublins historic City Hall followed by their glamorous reception at The Shelbourne Hotel .
We started the day at the couples home photographing Barry and his groomsmen getting ready. We then headed for Amy’s morning preparations which commenced at the Shelbourne Hotel.
Their wedding day fell on a beautiful Dublin Summers day and Amy’s bridesmaids were on hand help fan her and keep her cool. Sure dancing the morning away in your bridal suite can do that to you.
We became adventurous, hanging Amy’s spectacular wedding dress from the equally spectacular staircase of the iconic Shelbourne Hotel. This made for some fantastic photographs.
This was a very stylish wedding.. From Amy’s gown and her bridesmaids dresses, to the black tie suits and trendy sunglasses of Barry and his groomsmen. Not forgetting the Prosecco van they had pull up post ceremony at Dublin City Hall. Coolness was on tap.
Post ceremony we took the couple for some iconic bridal portraits at St. James Gate at The Guinness Storehouse, with one of those final images winning me an international award and recognition through Junebug weddings. Junebug weddings Best of the Best 2018
Taking some time out for an ice cream courtesy of Oscars icecream van, was also a must.
Bagpipes were played on the sidewalk for the couple as they arrived back at the Shelbourne Hotel for their reception. Entering through the Shelbourne Hotel front doors was equally memorable. The staff members lined the hallway to greet them with a round of applause.
A lovely touch from the hotel.
Prior to speeches, dinner and dancing, we took the bridal party over to St. Stephens green for some additional bridal party portraits in some very remarkable sunlight. Upon our return, the drinks reception was starting to kick off and energy was in full swing with a lively crowd and lots of funny moments.
I’d like to thanks Amy and Barry again for having us there to photograph their special day and with them nothing but the best!
