Castle Durrow Wedding Photographer | Michelle & Philip

August 1, 2016

Michelle and Philip had their wedding on the stunning grounds of Castle Durrow. Castle Durrow is one of the very few 18th century houses which stands very close to it’s original condition. This is a spectacular venue so it was great to be back shooting there.

Philip hails from Ireland and Michelle from Canada. The couple were engaged in Paris and only days after getting married, they’ve already relocated to L.A. to start their new life together.

The wedding its self was a lovely mix of Irish and Filipino traditions, including the candle, veil and chord ceremonies and Philip pouring a heap of coins into Michelles hands to represent bounty in their union.

The further attention to detail was apparent in the table settings, the candy buffet, the favours, place cards and centrepieces.

Most surprising for everyone, was the romantic ballad Philip sang to Michelle at the head table in front of a room full their enamoured guests. Needless to say, the room, including my second shooter and I, erupted into cheers and applause. There was also many tears from an overwhelmed Michelle. It was some sight!

Best of luck in the future to Michelle and Philip!

Hi! I am from Canada and my fiancé is from Ireland and we are getting married at Cabra Castle in 2021. My friend, Michelle, recommended you as she used you for her own wedding! Would love to get a quote from you. Thanks, and take care!
